In pilot BrandHub Restaurant

Restaurant management software for Morocco

BrandHub Restaurant is restaurant management software for restaurants operating in Morocco, built by BrandHub in Casablanca: till (POS), orders, kitchen screen, stock and food cost in one system, designed to keep working when the internet drops. It is in pilot, and access is on request, from this page or on WhatsApp.

A restaurant rarely loses money in one go. It loses it in small pieces, service after service: an order slip that never reaches the kitchen, a dish sold for less than it now costs because a supplier raised a price, produce taken from the cold room without being written down, a cash drawer that does not match the evening's sales. One by one, these gaps look trivial. Over a month they eat into the margin, and nobody can say where they came from. If you run a restaurant in Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech or Tangier, you know the pattern, whatever language your head office reports in. BrandHub Restaurant is being built in Casablanca so that every sale, every order and every stock movement is recorded where it happens: at the counter, in the dining room, at the pass and in the storeroom. At closing, the manager will read the day's gaps instead of discovering them at the monthly stocktake. The software is in pilot: pilot businesses use it, access is on request and no public launch date has been announced.

Which problems will BrandHub Restaurant solve?

BrandHub Restaurant targets four leaks that come back every service: a till that does not balance at night, order slips lost between the dining room and the kitchen, stock that goes down without a trace, and not knowing what each dish really costs. All four are loss control problems: they become visible once recorded as they happen.

  • Cash discrepancies at closing

At night the drawer does not match the sales, and nobody knows whether the gap comes from wrong change, a dish on the house or a cancelled ticket.

  • Orders lost between the dining room and the kitchen

A handwritten slip goes missing at the pass or is misread: the dish comes out late, twice or not at all, and the table waits.

  • Stock that disappears

Meat, oil and drinks leave the storeroom without being logged, and the monthly stocktake cannot tell you when or where the difference appeared.

  • No food cost per dish

When chicken or tomatoes go up, the menu stays the same, and nobody knows which dishes still make money and which are sold at a loss.

How will BrandHub Restaurant follow a service, from dining room to kitchen?

BrandHub Restaurant will link the dining room, the kitchen and the storeroom in one system: an order taken at the table goes to the kitchen exactly as entered, and stock and the cost of each dish are read in the same place. The illustration shows this principle, station by station, on the software in pilot.

  1. Take orders without paper

At the table or at the counter, the waiter will enter the dishes and send them to the kitchen in one tap: no more scribbled slips to decipher.

  2. Cook in order of arrival

Cooks will read orders on a screen in the order they come in, with no lost slip and no forgotten table.

  3. Balance the till every night

At closing, the drawer will be checked against the service's sales, tables and takeaway included: the gap is known the same evening.

  4. Track stock and food cost

Each delivery will be booked into the storeroom, each withdrawal logged, and a rise in a purchase price will show in the cost of the dishes that use it.

What will BrandHub Restaurant include?

BrandHub Restaurant brings five modules into one system: till, orders, kitchen, stock and food cost. All are marked “In pilot”. Their value lies in the links between them: what is sold in the dining room, cooked in the kitchen and taken from the storeroom will be read in one place.

  • Till (POS)

    In pilot

Will take payment for every table and every takeaway order, then set the contents of the drawer against the recorded sales at closing.

  • Orders

    In pilot

Will take the order at the table or at the counter, without a paper slip, so it reaches the kitchen exactly as entered.

  • Kitchen

    In pilot

Will pass each order to the cooks in order of arrival, so that no dish is forgotten or made twice.

  • Stock

    In pilot

Will follow supplier deliveries and storeroom withdrawals, so the stock you count can be checked against the stock you should have.

  • Food cost

    In pilot

Will work out the cost of each dish from its recipe and purchase prices, so you know the margin on every line of the menu.

Will the POS keep working if the internet goes down?

That is a design goal: BrandHub Restaurant is meant to keep taking orders and payments during an internet outage, then sync the data once the connection is back. The product is in pilot, so BrandHub does not publish any result on this offline mode yet. Questions about it can be asked on WhatsApp, in English if you prefer.

Saturday night, a full dining room, and the connection drops. Without an offline mode, waiters go back to the notepad, and part of the service's sales is never entered.

The aim is that the till and the orders carry on locally, and that nothing has to be keyed in again once the connection returns.

How much will BrandHub Restaurant cost, and how do you pay?

BrandHub Restaurant has no published price yet. The price appears in a written proposal, sent after a conversation about how your restaurant runs, from the dining room to the kitchen. Sending a request does not commit you to any payment. Payment methods and access follow the rules shared by all BrandHub software, listed below.

  • Payment by bank transfer or in cash
  • BrandHub activates access to the software once payment is received
  • Each software product runs in its own space (a subdomain of brandhub.ma) and each customer has their own account

Can we use BrandHub Restaurant today?

BrandHub Restaurant is in pilot: pilot businesses use it, and access is on request, from this page or on WhatsApp. No public launch date has been announced. This page shows the software's current status, and the overview of the five BrandHub software products gives the status of the others.

Can we deal with BrandHub in English?

Yes: BrandHub replies in French and Arabic, and also in English, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Italian. A request sent from this page or on WhatsApp gets an answer within 24 business hours. Say in your request which languages your managers, waiters and kitchen staff work in, so it is noted with your restaurant's needs.

Do we need to buy hardware?

It depends on your restaurant. The useful equipment, for example a tablet, a receipt printer or a cash drawer, will be specified for each site at installation. In your request, describe your current system and the hardware you already have.

Can we manage several restaurants?

That has not been decided yet, and nothing is promised at this stage. State in your request how many restaurants you operate. Multi-site management is one of the needs being studied during the BrandHub Restaurant pilot.

Do we have to replace the till we use now?

Not necessarily. In your request, name the system you use today to take payments: BrandHub looks at each restaurant separately to decide whether it is better to keep it or replace it.

What happens to our request?

It is recorded with your restaurant's needs: number of sites, main priority and the system you use today. BrandHub then contacts you to look at your restaurant joining the pilot. Your answers also shape the software's priorities. No payment is asked for with the request.
